There is no escaping the fact that we are having the worst season under the leadership of Arsene Wenger. Although the state that our club is in should not come as a surprise as it was on the cards for the last few seasons, it still is very puzzling.

Let’s think logically; we still have the best manager this club has ever had managing the team, the same man who built probably the best Arsenal team this club ever had.

What has changed then? The owners, the Chief Executive, the Board….

It’s simple maths, not a rocket science. It’s the simplest formula any logical person should be able to understand: We were very, very successful 5 or 6 years ago but we are in doldrums at the present time. We have the same manager as we had 5 or 6 years ago but not the same board, owner or CEO.

That’s the puzzling part, why fix something that isn’t broken, on the contrary running as smooth as it’s ever been?  In our case why change the CEO and the ownership when the club were in their most successful era?

Where is the logic of not buying any players in the recently closed January transfer window, knowing that being in the Champions League next season would recover all if not more of the money spent?

Ivan Gazidis can talk as much as he likes about this odious self-sustainability but I call it self-stupidity!
