Downing is considered to be a target for Arsenal, more for a replacement for Nasri who 's future at the club is not yet decided, rather than as an addition to the squad. I believe he should be our transfer target regardless of Nasri's situation. He is an out and out winger, something our current squad do not have. Even if the Frenchman stays, he most probably will be moved to the middle to play in the position most likely to be vacated by Fabregas' departure. To have a proper left footed midfielder with great crossing ability would benefit Chamakh greatly and add another dimension, a plan B to our game.
