Football Widow has been busy with life

Hard work being a working mum & wife

You have not heard from me for some time

So I thought I would put my thoughts down in rhyme

Arsenal have played and lost and won and drawn

Had the men folk in my family sometimes happy, sometimes forlorn

I have given up with the nails as they make no difference to our luck

I have given up on the rituals that used to work – now they just suck

Transfer window has come and gone

Arsene is still singing the same old song

“In Arsene we trust” I hear you shout

Well I suppose we are not doing too badly despite the drought!

Second is good – a respectable spot

But we have to rely on the dipstick team above us for points to drop

We are in four Cups - Arsenal can bring it home to me and you

They know that the Silverware we crave is well overdue

The Champions league is still going strong

Even though the dreaded Barcelona will be coming along

Can we do it “Yes We Can” I hear you say

Let’s just push all the other teams out of our way

We are the Arsenal and even if you shut up shop

We will still persevere and sit pretty in top spot!
