Greetings to the blogosphere at large and thank you for the patience in the last few weeks. I have not written for a while because…frankly I had reached a place that I did not like with Arsenal. I didn’t care about it as much any more. I became disenfranchised and very very upset. Its because I had reached a conclusion, an epiphany about my most beloved Arsenal. Football is no longer its primary goal.

That is quite a huge statement for a football supporter. I absolutely love football and watch any decent football that is front of me. It really is a pity that I do not have any football prowess of any kind.  Arsenal were very shit for a few weeks and we finally reached a place where were simply were not good enough or committed enough to beat Tottenham. Think about that for the moment; when was the last time we knew we were going to lose against Tottenham before the game started? The bookies predicted it too. Now we are in place where we are one good player from having no star in the side. The talent- Wilshere, Vermaelen, Sagna, van Persie, Song are almost all out and the In-Betweeners are not working hard enough (Arshavin, Walcott). Thank God for Sczcesny.  The reason I believe football is not longer Arsenal’s first priority is this; what happens when van Persie get injured and Sczcesny is out? Do you know what happens? Do you remember Manchester United? I’m sorry, how could you forget? The team is not good enough in my eyes.

The reasoning of whoever is running Arsenal is flawed. Arsenal cannot continue to be successful in this environment with its current wage restrictions and footballing ethos. Players want money and success and I do not see Arsenal offering either to any player. Van Persie saved us on Sunday, Ramsey on Wednesday but they cannot carry a team on their own. And all the problems that are visible on the pitch must be laid at the feet of Arsene Wenger. His imaginary handbrake speech speaks volumes about the fact that he cannot motivate the players any longer. They simply do not play for him. The team’s confidence is so low but there is no reason WHY it is so low. They are all good players but just do not believe that they can win. Who screams on the pitch? Where is the frustration from the players? No Arsenal player has ever done a Rooney and kicked a player in just sheer frustration. I just don’t know what there is to do anymore. And don’t take me for one of those supporters who bemoans wins, I do not! I was ecstatic for Ramsey but I just see the bigger picture and it scares me to my core.

There is a game on Sunday against Stoke City, a violent vile bunch of mother fuckers who break legs for fun and are the best team in set plays in the league. We need a huge performance from everybody from a win. I don’t know if it will come but how much longer will we keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. Any kind of run would help the players come together. I just hope for one thing from Arsene. Please play two defensive midfielders for the Chelsea game. One or two nil will be bad but not awful, four of five will kill the embers of confidence that Arsene is trying to blow. Do something different.
