The 7th annual meeting of the Czech and Slovak Gunners took place in a suburban part of Prague. Sport club Motorlet Jinonice provided us their football grounds and all the stuff we needed. Me and my friend "Machine“ arrived on Saturday but some of the Gooners made their best affords to prepare it during Friday.

Our plan was very easy: have some beers, barbecue and take part in a football tournament. More than 50 Gooners from all over the Czech and Slovak Republic were slowly gathering and we could start.

Six teams were named in honour of Arsenal legends, for example team of Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira,... but the best team was Martin Keown´s. The champions lifted a stunning cup above their heads and then filled it with beer.

There were also indivudual prizes for the best goalkeeper (me ), for the best goal scorer and for the best player.

The supporters club took over a tradion of introducing new members of our „team“. All the Gunners assembled around the camp fire and benches and everybody was enjoying a good chat and food. We were talking about everything, the atmosphere was stunning, full of true Arsenal joy and happiness. Celebrations countinued in a nearby club till early morning hours when Gooners started to go home.

Everybody enjoyed this special event and I can´t wait for another one. Special thanks goes to Patrick and all the guys from SC.
