Fancy him?:  Well, we need another striker (especially as it looks likely NB52 is departing) but everyone knows Karim Benzema will not be the cheapest option available to us. He would certainly qualify as the marquee signing Gooners have been demanding and would  become our record signing.  Benzena’s pedgree lists him as scoring  26 goals in 48 games despite starting many of them from the bench. Wenger admitted to liking him but the price tag seems way too much for the frugal Wenger. Benzema could be available just for £7 mil. next summer (the end of his contract) which seems to more  suite Le Boss’ style.  Would he also fit into the current system or would Wenger be happy to change that system for the player?  A 4-4-2 pairing with RVP would certainly be mouth-watering. If this signing were to happen it would certainly be interesting in terms of the evolution of our current philosophy.
