Don't let us down Wenger

The world cup is nearly over and I am already looking forward to new Premiership season with a new look Arsenal. A new top class goalkeeper, couple of big, no nonsense central defenders one of which is premiership experienced and British, a young Brazilian defensive midfielder who was nurtured by the best and also has a nasty streak in him, with one of the most promising English left back replacing out of sorts Clichy .....

No, the heat wave hasn’t got to me nor I have lost touch with reality, I am merely stating the obvious. It is no brainier that we need a goalkeeper, a burly central defender, and a cover for central/defensive midfield positions. It is very clear unless you are Arsene Wenger who cares more about the finances than the team.

I feel very strongly about the way Le Boss have been conducting the team affairs for the second half of last decade. He has used his untouchability to an extent that I feel like we have been taken the Mickey out of. He consistently sold our biggest stars in the name of his new experiment which obviously does not work and never replaced them.

I do not believe for minute that we can’t afford to buy players. We are Arsenal, we fill up the stadium week in week out, and we should not be a selling team.  I am not talking about breaking the bank and spending silly money, just buying sensibly,  addressing the problem positions in the squad for the good of the team. After all this is or should be his main responsibility.

At Gunner Talk we have been having many negative comments and shouts about Arsene Wenger recently and it is gathering pace. He needs to change his ways and change them now.  This season has to be his last chance to put things right and give us a team that is successful which we know he can.  

Please Arsene do not let us down again.
