I mean what do you say? I have had enough, I just can’t take anymore. Honestly.

The fans stood bleary eyed this sunny Saturday after the week which saw our emotion bank drained of every last drop. There was no real time for a comedown from the ‘night of the snore’ against some boring team called Barcelona, before playing really boring Wolves at home in the league. After a disappointing chuck-away-points affair last week in Brum, anything but a win would surely be it for our title challenge. Wenger had rested players and looking a bench containing Nasri, Bendtner, Clichy and Diaby I was a little concerned. Blogs and conversation within the community have worried about goals now that the shooting boots of Ashavin and Fabregas have left town. Taking Nic, Abu and Samir out of the equation was risky. But then this was only Wolves at home right? We’ve just played the European Champions for god’s sake. Plus I did end my last blog, “Well step up Theo it’s down to you son”
From the off it appeared as if the team were threatening to liven us up. Hahnemann made some fines saves. Eduardo, Walcott, Silverstre and Rosicky had chances but nowt in the back of the net. It all started looking a bit too familiar. Lots of huffing and puffing against a well organised brick house deference. The pretty patterns went on and on without coming to flower. There a few heavy tackles on Thomas Rosicky and the faithful were edgy and irritable. Theo started brightly and then seemed to flicker. The crossing was its usual woeful standard and our set pieces were disappointing. I could mention injuries to the key personnel at this point but we are all bored of that topic. The team kept playing and searching without really asking too many blatant questions. Minutes ticked by mainly helped by the Wolves goalkeeper who ridiculous with his time wasting.  There was the odd scare, one from Sol, but mainly impatience from the fans for the goal. By this point you take the one rather than the 3 or 4 which we’d have preferred so we could doze a little before Tuesday.
Then Henry was sent off in the 65th minute for another heavy challenge on Tommy. The reason for this is the referee Marriner was a bit of a wanker. (Surprising characteristic for a ref huh?) He allowed a few of these borderline naughty challenges earlier on and that just encourages average players to make poor attempts at tackles. (Please see previous home match against West Ham for further recent  evidence) Wolves weren’t dirty but occasionally a bit gun-ho.  It was probably a harsh red but to hear the “Arsenal get their own way, you can’t tackle them now” thesis from McCarthy/papers/pundits is galling. Had the ref done his job earlier it’s likely the Wolves team would have been a little more careful therefore a little less likely to get sent the fuck off. Simples.
So now we had to break down 10 men. Nasri and Bentdner came on followed later by Vella but still our probing was unrewarded. The 90th minute arrived and it was still 0-0. At this point Adam’s cousin said to him “Don’t worry we always score in added time” What a man! What a conviction! I had already had the “Look at least our season lasted until April, it’s the longest we’ve competed in 4 years, completely over achieved, started out as favourite to finish outside the top four, so many injuries ,blah blah blah” conversation in my mind.
The away support seemed shocked and amazed at the award of 5 minutes added time. Considering Hahnemann was touring the ground before each goal kick I was shocked and amazed it wasn’t 10. TICK TICK TICK went the crowds’ internal head clocks. Hands were wringing and teeth were grinding. People left.
And finally at  94 and a bit minutes played, fuck me sideways, here he comes again, the very very super, pink booted,  Nicolas BENDTNERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR” Bang. Wallop. In the back of the fucking net. Off went the roof and with it my sanity.
This brings me back to the start of my blog. It’s not funny anymore.  How am I expected to write about all this when my head hurts and I am constantly emotionally and physically battered just by watching? I should tell you that Sol was massive (no, not his arse dammit!) that Denilson had a solid and competent game, that Rosicky looks hungry and ready, that we rested key players for the Nou Camp/Camp Nou and still got 3 points, that Theo’s pace was as frightening as ever but so was some of his shooting, that we eventually managed one fantastic cross which made the goal and many many other interesting, relevant, things about the match. But I can’t. I am all out. I’m done.
How on earth will we survive the 90 minutes Tuesday? I’m cutting down on the cholesterol and with this team; I suggest you do the same. I love this Arsenal side. We just don’t know we are dead - much to everyone’s disgust.
Well done you Gunners.
